Vomit is a symtoms usually referred to a problem located in the gastrointestinal system. It can be secondary to a dietary indiscretion, an ingestion of something that Minxy picked up during her walks. It could be caused by a stomach inflammation (gastritis) or if she is having soft feaces as well can be an upset of the whole gastrointestinal system. Vomit can also be a secondary to systemic diseases (i.e. renal failure). Monitor Minxy, if she continues to vomit or start having diarrhea being inappetent or showing any other symptom I recommend a consultation with your veterinarian for a full health check. Please post again in the forum if you would like to discuss it further. I hope this answer was helpful. Good luck.

Throwing up can have many causes. It is basically a problem with the stomach and intestines caused by a food over sensitivity, eating something that does not agree with the dog, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  I would fast Precious for 12 hours and then put her on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to her regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the diarrhea or if the vomiting increases, or if she gets lethargic, she needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Vomiting can be caused by a number of things including underlying illness, digestive upset, parasites, allergies to food, obstruction and more. For minor GI upset you can try offering a bland meal of boiled rice and chicken, however if Abby has been vomiting up her food for more than a day, or is showing other signs of illness such as lethargy, tender abdomen, blood in stool or vomit, diarrhea, or lack of appetite, it could indicate something more serious and should be examined by a veterinarian.

Hi there. I am so sorry that Leonides is vomiting. Allergies don't cause vomiting unless they are having an allergic reaction to sometthing, so that would be lower on the list of possible causes. Vomiting is unfortunately a vague sign that can occur from many possibilitites. It can be from a dietary indiscretion, a food sensitivity, a GI infection, pancreatitis, metabolic and endocrine conditions, foreign bodies in the intestines, and more. The best thing for vomiting would be to get him seen and try to get to the bottom of the cause. But he will need an exam and some diagnostics. In the meantime, you can try a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice for 3-5 days, then slowly change back to her regular diet if doing well. Good luck.
