What are the early signs of fungal infection in cats after a fight?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 4 months old

Hello. I'm starting to suspect my Felix maybe starting to have fungi. It started after he fought a stray cat, so it might just be from the fight. But I'm still worried. I'll go to the doctor shortly, but how can I know for now if he has it, and what are the early symptoms? Thank you very much. This is the only pic he allowed me to take

The picture is not very good, it's very difficult to see anything in it. if it started right after a fight, it's probably a bacterial infection due to fighting and a course of antibiotics should solve this.
