Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Male | neutered | 11 years and 5 months old | 23 lbs
12 year old cocker who started having seizures 3 years ago started on phenobarbital and was taking every day and he has not had a seizure in 15 mos. liver enzymes became elevated so Started on combo therapy of phenobarbital and keppra and this has been a few weeks process . Its Monday and on Saturday he was totally off the phenobarbital and taking only the keppra. On Saturday morning he vomited twice and having loose to soft stools. Sunday no vomiting. Today still soft stools, normal?

The timing is suspicious but no that is not normal. This would be an odd occurrence from the medication switch. It sounds more like a transient gastroenteritis that happened to be timed badly. Regardless, keep and eye on Tuck and if the vomiting returns or the stool does not improve in the next 48 hours, take him in to see the vet to make sure we’re not missing something else going on.
