Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 2 days old | 2.5 lbs
Hi, my chihuahua has some balding in his paws. He doesn’t bite them or lick them a lot. And if he does it’s because he gets bored. I’ve also noticed he scratches his face a lot. When I first got him I did bathe him, and I’m thinking that might’ve caused all this. I’ve also seen it might be ringworm but his skin isn’t flaky or red. Please help! Thanks!

Poor Tubby. My biggest concern is that this could be demodectic mange (demodex), sarcoptic mange (scabies), or even ringworm. Scabies is usually EXTREMELY itching meaning they usually get distracted by the itch even when they are trying to play. If he isn't that itchy then he likely doesn't have that. Ringworm doesn't always have to be flakey. Demodex is really common in younger dogs and isn't usually very itchy but it can be. Since he is loosing hair, I would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to determine the cause and get him started on the safest treatment option to help him before he gets worse. I hope this helps!
