Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 33 lbs
My dog gave birth for the first time to 5 puppies last Feb. 18 & the 3 of them weigh 200g while the others are 210g & 185g. Is it normal weight for newborns? We do not breed but it happened when we accidentally left our male dog w/ our female dog & we are anxious since it's our first time. Also, our weather outside is about 32°C is it ok for them not to have heat pads? Theyre inside the house, aircon-off but we placed an electric fan set at no. 1. Our vet is out of town till friday. Help pls Tnx

Those weights are about right for newborns. The puppies like it warm and I think the air conditioner off with it being warm outside is just fine. They’ll stay closer to Mom if they need to be warmer. The fan is fine but not blowing directly on the puppies. The link below is a really good resource for more information about taking care of newnborn puppies and what to look for. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/breeding-for-dog-owners-caring-for-newborn-puppies Best of luck and hope this helps! -Dr. Kurth
