Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 lbs
My cat started having a small amount of yellowish discharge from her eye today. I've wiped it just a few times. Her eye doesn't appear red or swollen and it's not sticking together. At what point should I find a vet to see her? I'm traveling for work, so I'm not able to see my normal vet. We were in a dusty, sandy area, so it suppose she could have gotten something in her eye. She's never had this problem before, so I don't know how soon to worry. Thank you.

If the discharge gets worse or continues for another day or two I would definitely recommend a veterinarian. It could easily be from the dust in the air but it can develop into an infection. I would recommend using eye saline to wash Kaylee's eye out and see if it resolves over the next day or two. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
