Why is my 3-year-old cat suddenly less playful and napping elsewhere?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 6 months old | 8 lbs

My cat is 3yr old eating and going to litter box ,he is not napping in his normal spots he use to love going on screen in patio not as playful as usual

Hello. It would be very difficult to say if this is just a normal change in behavior, or if something is amiss. If all he is doing is napping elsewhere, has normal food & water intake, normal litter box habits, then I would just continue to observe him for a few day more. See if something else may develop or concern you, then maybe have him examined by your vet. He may be trying to develop something, or he has just decided himself to nap elsewhere. You know his habits better than anyone, so if it continues to concern you, have him seen. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
