Birds should gain a healthy weight when fed an appropriate diet. For an Amazon, this is usually a diet that is mostly pelleted food, vegetables and about 10% fruits and nuts/seeds. Pet birds are usually overweight compared to their wild cousins. If Maggie has lost considerable weight recently, then I would first want to look for signs of disease. For this, you'll need to take Maggie to an avian vet, so they can discover the problem. Otherwise, no amount of feeding will make her gain weight. The vet can also assess her body condition (can't tell from seeing...need to feel the bird's body) and see if she is considerably underweight. I hope that helps and all is well with Maggie.
