What's causing my cat's dark anal discharge, gas, and red eyes?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years and 8 months old

My 3 year old male cat started with a dark anal discharge two weeks ago. This seemed to clear up, but it is now back and he now also has flatulance. His eyes are also now a little red when he comes in from being outside. He is still eating.

IT could be his anal glands that are infected, it could also be due to bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract. i would recommend taking Patches to the vet in order to get it checked and treated.
