Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | unneutered
Hi. My mom and I own an old Australian Shepard name T and he's been having a jaw tremor for WEEKS and it's starting to worry my mom and I. We had him try Blue Buffalo a couple months ago and it didn't really help. It just made him gassy and he threw up so we stopped giving it to him. His tremor still continued. I just started mixing a new food but it's just giving him bad gas so I'm going to stop trying to change his food. Could there be something causing his tremor?

If the tremors are constant, T should be examined by your veterinarian. There could be a neurological cause. If it happens only when he eats, there could be periodontal disease or infection that is causing pain when he chews. A discussion regarding the dietary issues can be had once the tremors have been diagnosed. For now, consider feeding as bland a diet as possible. The vet may provide i/d which is a Hill's prescription diet that is highly digestible and easy on the GI tract.
