Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 12 lbs
This small male dog was neutered less than 24 hours ago. The vet said he was running around after surgery and bled around stitches so it might be more swollen. It is 4:00am where I am right now. He just woke me up to go pee and peed on the wall because he couldn’t make it. The pee smelled so foul and had large traces of blood in it. My husband took him outside and he threw up and had diarrhea. The vet opens back up at 7:30am. What can I do before the vet opens in a few hours?

That is extensive bruising and swelling. The best thing to do is ice pack it 3-4 times a day for 10 minutes to help. Anesthesia can cause vomiting and diarrhea along with the added stress of being at the vet. I would take away his food and water for the next 4-6 hours. Your vet may check some blood work to make sure there are no bleeding disorders and a urine sample to check for a secondary infection. pain medication and strict rest will be needed for the next week until that heals
