That is a large amount of blood. I expect Stitch will be anemic from this but I have never seen a dog bleed out from a perianal or skin mass. Internal tumors on the spleen are the most common tumors that dogs bleed out from. They grow into and damage large blood vessels causing them to rupture. The vessels in the skin and perianal area are not as big so there should not be as much bleeding. Also you can see the bleeding and hold pressure on it so it will stop.
