My 12 week old puppy is doing great with potty training, however the last week he has been going pee alot at one time. He some hope started in the kitchen with a huge pile, ran through the living room, with a huge stream, and all the way down the hallway.... I didn't think he could hold in that much pee.. it's very clear. I'm just weird there's something wrong.. he drinks a ton of water, and I don't know if something is wrong.

It's normal for puppies to have very clear, dilute urine because their kidneys are still developing. They can also get urinary tract infections and other issues as well. I would recommend scheduling a vet visit (or telling them you want to talk about this issue when you schedule his next vaccine appointment) and using a small tuberware to catch his first urination of the morning to bring to that appointment. They can check to see how concentrated his urine is. Keep the urine in the fridge if it's going to be more than 30-60 minutes until your appointment. Good luck!

Hi there. I think you are saying that your puppy is having small bowel movements? This can be normal depending on how often and how much your puppy is eating. Remember your puppy is very young and cannot hold it yet. He may also have parasites-your veterinarian can test for these with a simple fecal test. I hope this helps!

This is pretty typical puppy behavior and will likely be something Cash grows up out of with time and bladder development. To only be having a few mistakes in a week's time is actually really great for this age, so good work for him and you.

It is normal for puppy urine to be fairly clear because they aren't able to concentrate it as well as adults - their kidneys are still developing at this age :) Most small breed puppies do also urinate very frequently when they are awake and moving around - as often as every 15 minutes or so would be expected at this age. But if you have concerns, you can certainly take her to the vet for an exam - he/she can do a urinalysis to check for any problems.
