Why does my older dog have bloody anal sores and trouble pooping?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 13 lbs

Our schnauzer terrier mix has a bunch of sores around his anus that are bloody and have puss. He is an older dog still has an appetite but it seems he is having trouble pooping

He should be checked by a vet. This may be a sign of an anal gland infection or cancer if they are all tumors. It may also indidcate an auto immune disease that is causing fistulas. The can determine which is the cause as they have different treatments and different successes. It is best to keep the area clean as best as possible and you can add canned pumpkin to his diet to help going to the bathroom easier
