My dog is slow, wincing, and won't jump or play. What's wrong?

Hi. I have a question about our dog whoops been acting different the past day or two. I noticed it first thing in the am when she was slow to get to the back door. She won’t get up on furniture and when I go to help left her up she winces loudly. While playing fetch she is much slower if not jogging to a ball and uninterested in tug of war. All very odd behaviors for our active 6 year old Any thoughts?

It seems she is hiring somewhere. At her age arthritis can be starting but I would suspect a back injury or a soft tissue strain or sprain. The best thing is actually cage rest. No running or jumping, no playing even if she feels better after a few days. She needs rest for at least 2 weeks. I would advise getting her seen by your vet as they have medicine to help make her more comfortable and can localize he spot that is hurting to help you prevent it again in the future
