My cat has a broken tooth. Is dental work always this expensive?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 13 years and 10 months old | 7 lbs

A recent Vet visit revealed my cat has a broken tooth and needs Dental work. I was provided an estimate but it seems high. Can anybody offer their opinion on the cost please? I plan on calling around, but thought I'd check here too. Image attached of estimate. Thanks from my cat Stewie and I.

This will vary by location but is similar to what our fee would be here in Phoenix AZ. Definitely call around to get quotes. If you can let the offices you call know exactly which teeth need to come out, that will help them give you an accurate estimate. Best of luck and I hope Stewie is feeling better soon!
