My 9-year-old male pit bull has lumps on his testicles. Is it cancer?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 7 months old | 69 lbs

I have a 9 yr old male pit bull who is my baby! But recently he's developed knots on his testicles there's one that's very big about dime size around and protrudes around a cm outward... there are other small lumps in his testicles also the pics show when it was smaller and he had bit it. We don't have much money could this possibly be cancer? I'm looking into having him fixed regardless just would like to be as informed as possible.Thank you Holly Hollym13b85 gmail.com

Hi Holly! Unfortunately yes, there is always a possibility this could be a testicular tumor, but it could either be a benign or a malignant tumor. The best thing to do is consult with your vet so that these lumps can be examined in person and diagnosed. Treatment for testicular tumors does involving neutering the dog, and that can be curative and often the only treatment needed. Make an appointment for Romo with the vet in the next day or two. Good luck, I hope this helps!
