Why is my female gerbil bloated, squeaking, and has eye issues?

There is major abdominal bloating in my gerbil are hearing squeaking does not open eyes fully and is female. NOT with males lives with other one other female gerbil. happened over the course of about 1 1/2 weeks. What is wrong? Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Female | unspayed

I would be concerned about then possibility of an abdominal tumor or fluid accumulation in the abdomen. However, fluid accumulation does not have a good prognosis either. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. If there is a large tumor they may be able to feel it and help guide you with quality of life decisions.
