My dog licks his sore. Can I leave a bitter wrap on for 8 hours?

Oliver has a sore on his foot that is trying to heal but he keeps licking it. I’m putting a no chew (bitter) bandage wrap on it so he won’t lick it. I just wanted to know if it was safe to leave the bitter wrap on his foot while I’m at work for 8 hours? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 years old

Yes, it is safe to leave this on for extended periods of time when not under supervision. The substance is not toxic if he happens to lick it and the only potential complication would be him eating the bandage; which is not likely. I hope that helps and all is well with Oliver.
