Why is my kitten crying loudly after her long stay at the vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 3.5 lbs

So i've had my kitten for about 4 almost 5 months. We gave her to the vet to get her check and cleaned up and haven't seen her for about 2 weeks. When I went to go see her the person that worked there brought her out and she was crying loudly. she leaped from his arms to mine and stopped crying. She then ran up to my should and around the back of my neck. So was crying loudly in my arms also. I'm sure she just misses me but i just wanna know exactly what the meaning towards this was.

That's wonderful that Pringles was so excited to see you again! Vet clinics can be scary places with new smells and sounds. Often cats are fine if they are in a "safe" place like a kennel, but being carried around the clinic can be very scary. So, that may be why Pringles was crying. But it sounds like she was very happy to see you again which is wonderful. I hope she has settled in well at home again. I hope that was helpful and answered your question.
