Can Hill's Perfect Weight feed multiple dogs, including a senior with heart issues?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 19.6 lbs

I have 4 dogs within my household and we all eat at the same time for dinner and then bowls are up. My oldest dog is 13 years old and loves to run like the 2/3 yr old dogs but recently after she fainted she was diagnosed with a heart murmur and her heart is enlarged and she has fluid in her lungs. Her heart is wide and long but thankfully not tall. I try to keep it fair with them all would Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight Adult Dry Dog Food be good for my 13 yr old and the rest as well?

Hi there and thank you for using Pet coach! You have some pretty cute dogs in those pictures! If you were to feed all of them the same science diet food as Lizzy, this should be absolutely fine. If they begin to lose weight and become too thin, I would consider increasing the amount of food being given or change food. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
