My dog is vomiting and clearing throat. How can I help her now?

Hello, my girl has been trying to clear her throat for couple weeks, it gets better and now she is vomiting and trying to clear her throat. I’ve made a appointment to see our vet but there backed up till Thursday morning, I’m concerned. I have gotten pedilyte to keep her hydrated till then . When you look into her eyes she seems wore out but not in distress. What should I do till Thursday morning. Pet's info: Dog | Akita | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 7 months old | 75 lbs

You may need to find an ER clinic that can see her sooner if the vomiting continues. I would take the food and water away for 4 hours to let her stomach rest. You can try boiled chicken and rice and continue the pedialyte or chicken broth. If the vomiting persist then stop the fluids and food again and try again after some rest
