My dog had an eye removed. Why can I see a membrane, not sewn shut?

Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Male | neutered | 14 years and 8 months old | 15 lbs

hello, I have a 15 year old poodle who had an eye removed it was bloody and was told it was glaucoma.. my dog has done very well now however I can see the membrane? why wouldn't it still be sown shut?

I would recommend calling the veterinarian that performed the surgery and discussing this with them. Typically when the eye is removed the lids are sewn shut. If Rarzi does not have an elizabethan collar on they I recommend getting one from your local pet store until you can get him to a veterinarian.
