My dog's nail looks like the outer layer broke off. What should I do?

It almost looks as though the outside shell of the mail has broken off? What can be done about this? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 12 days old | 70 lbs

Nothing needs to be done at this time. If the nail isn't bleeding, it may have simply been an old injury that previously damaged the nail, which continued to grow out, and finally broke off.
