My dog whines with a new collar. Should I leave it on or take it off?

My dog started showing possession aggression and my vet asked me to use dog collar permanently . Bongo never wore dog collar . Now that he does wear a collar he’s whining a lot and trying to be cute and Help me kind of situation . Is ignoring him while whining is a good practice ? Or keeping the collar off and on is better ? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 7 months and 30 days old | 26 lbs

If you want him to wear the collar then it is best to leave it on so he gets used to it. If you continue to take t off it will reinforce his behavior to cry and whine with it on. Once he gets used to it and does. It mind then you can take it off
