Why is my 10-year-old cat losing weight, not eating, and drinking toilet water?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 lbs

Normally limited voical cat meowing alot and losing weight , drinking but not eating ..now prefers toilet water over fresh water in bowl , litter mate sister 100% healthy normaly .. very shy and withdrawn now wants out of normal living space. Aproxime age is 10 years

I am sorry to hear about Sugar. My rule of thumb is that any cat who is losing weight needs to be seen by a vet sooner rather than later. I am particularly worried about kidney disease which is common in older cats. After a good physical exam, your vet may recommend bloodwork to check on the kidneys and thyroid in particular.
