Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 2 years and 6 months old | 15 lbs
My husband and I rescued a dog a year ago. We think she is a Boston terrier and Jack Russell mix. She has always been fine around our two cats, and she has never once chased them. Yesterday while at my in law's house, she attacked their cat. He was taken to the vet and the cat is going to be fine. My question is should I rehome my dog since I have cats? They are separated when unsupervised, but I can't look at my dog the same way anymore. Is this normal behavior from a dog?

That is a decision only you can make. She may have acted out since it was not her familiar environment and it was a new, different cat. She may like yours because she is used to them and comfortable. I would not call it normal for a dog to attack a cat or anything else, but stress and uncertainty and cause this behavior. If you do not feel you can trust her at your house, then you will have to tell her new owners that she did attack a cat and she needs a home with no other ones to be fair.
