My cat has distemper. Is eating and drinking a good sign of recovery?

My 1 year old cat has been diagnosed with distemper is it a good sign if he starts eating and drinking again he has been sick for about a week now. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 11 months and 10 days old | 6.1 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If you are referring to feline panleukopenia then yes it is a good sign that Fuzz is eating and drinking again! They can recover from this virus but it is very severe and many do not. I hope this helps and I wihs Fuzz the very best!
