Why is my baby cockatiel sneezing, has a red eye, and won't eat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Female | unspayed

My cockatiel has a red eye which may be due to an injury caused by another cockatiel. I have noticed that she sneezes alot. Her voice box is not that clear as well and she wont eat at all. I have to forcefully give her formula. She is only 1 and a half months old or 2.

Sneezing and a red eye are more likely to be a sign of an upper respiratory infection, you will need to take Ruby to an avian vet specialist in order to get it treated, this will require oral antibiotics and antibiotic eye drops.
