Why does my 10-month-old puppy whine when playing with toys?

My 10 month old puppy continues to whine when he plays with his toys. Does not matter if it is a squeak toy or a non squeak toy. Do I need to get him into see a Veterinary Dentist? Pet's info: Dog | English Mastiff | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 10 days old | 25 lbs

Having said that, if he is whining from pain, this is likely due to his maturing teeth. You can try using teething toys which help them when their teeth feel uncomfortable.
