My cat has been on Hills r/d for two years. Is it safe long-term?

Our cat has been on Hills r/d for 2 years and has lost 2 pounds. Is that healthy to be for that long? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 9 years and 10 months old | 14 lbs

Good job getting him to lose weight! However r/d is not labeled for long term use. I would recommend consulting with your veterinarian about what they would recommend for an appropriate next diet.
