Someone told me that giving the dog his own dog food as a treat would have the same effect as giving him real treats. Is this true? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 85 lbs

Yes. That is true. When the dog gets a treat from you it is more about the act of getting something (anything) from you and bonding with you rather than being about what type of treat they are actually getting.
