My new cats aren't territorial. Will they start fighting later?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

SHARE I use to have 5 cats who turned 5 months old and all,but 2 stayed but then started a territorial argument I now have only 3 new cats who are 5 months old but do not fight, could it be because I had to raise them without a mommy or will these 3 begin the territorial arguments? they haven't started hissing and meowing at each other, but I was just wondering why they haven't become territorial..there were female cats presents when I had the other cats and now there isn't any girl cats around.

It is likely just their personalities. Sometimes if there are multiple cats that have a dominant personality they will fight and become territorial. If there is a good balance and everyone gets along, they will likely continue to get along unless something changes in the house. If everyone gets along right now, I would be wary adding any new cats just because it could mess up the balance. I hope this helps!
