Is there a generic Enacard alternative for my dog's leaky heart?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 years and 3 months old | 15 lbs

my dog was taking enacard for leaky heart valve but im disabled and can't afford 80$ a month for it... is there a cheaper generic kind i can get for him?? hes my buddy and i love him so much... please help..

Yes, there is a generic called enalapril maleate. You will need to get it from your vet. Just ask them and they can either order it for you, write you a prescription or call it in to a pharmacy for you.
