Why is my 6-month-old puppy panting heavily for hours without exercise?

Question

i have a 6 month old german shepherd / lab mix pup and out of nowhere she started panting and breathing heavily. it’s gone on for more than a few hours and she hasn’t had any rigorous exercise. i have her laying on a tile floor to cool down if that’s the problem but it’s not normal and i need advice on what to do. thanks! Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 5 months and 25 days old | 40 lbs

If you have noticed a change in her breathing pattern and she appears to have labored breathing, I would recommend getting her in to be examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. Without a video, it is difficult to say for sure what the problem is. I hope this helps!
