Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed
My three year old female cat seems to have what I assume is a "pink eye" I had noticed it on Monday ( 2/5/18) and now ( Thursday 2/8/18) I seems to have gotten more watery, red/pink in the eye and producing mucus in the inner corner of her left eye. She is also sneezing which she doesn't usually do. I'm wondering if this needs to be taken care of by a vet or just let it go away on its own? Also if she is taken to the vet what would be the cost At Petco??

Hello. It looks like Lydia has picked up an upper respiratory infection. Most of these are viruses, & we can treat these with antibiotics & antivirals, if necessary. It is always best to have these looked at pretty quickly so things do not get any worse. Not all Petco's have veterinary centers. Most Petcos only host monthly vaccination clinics where no antibiotics are available. It is best to give your local veterinarian a call to have Lydia examined. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
