My dog ran in snow & ice, now has a red sore on leg. Is it serious?

My dog chewed through her leash and was running around in the ice and snow for about 2 hours last night. This morning, a red sore appeared on one of her legs. How serious is it?

Hello. It is very difficult to determine what is going on with the leg, but the area looks like some kind of raised lesion. I think this is a good one to have your veterinarian take a hands-on look to make sure everything is OK. I hesitate to tell you to take a watch & wait approach with this.
