Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | neutered
I need to send my cat's blood work to UK (from India) to get the Titer test done. UK lab requires a blood serum to be creamish in color). However, my vet in India withdrew the blood and the outcome is white which does not meet the creamish color requirement. What should we do to get the blood tested? We took blood samples twice and the results were the same - white color (gross lipemia) The 2nd time we made him fast. Should we send the serum to the UK even with gross lipemia?

You can first try to fast Ranger before drawing blood. This would require you to not feed Ranger for 12 hours prior to getting his blood drawn. This may reduce the lipemia. However, it's possible that he has a condition causing persistent lipemia. This can be corrected through ultracentrifugation at a laboratory. The lab would need this special equipment though. The best way to find out what to do is call and ask the laboratory. They are staffed with experts who can give you the necessary information. I hope that helps and all goes well with the testing.
