Is my cat's fungal infection causing our family's itchy skin rash?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 4 days old | 2.4 lbs

Can cat be carrier of a disease that doesnt affect them but the human? My vet says my cant is having fungal infection and she has been under treatment for 1 month and she is much better now and growing back furs. She is under vaccination and deflea and deworm. But recenly my housemates and i are having this skin condition with red itchy dots on our body. Checked with a MD and they say get rid of the cat. Checked with the vet said the cat is fine. can she b carring a disease to me?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yes, cats can be carriers of fleas, lice and ring worm. Cats can not have any skin lesions and carry ring worm. People can be allergic to cats as well. If Curly is being treated for ring worm then you can get it. If her hair is growing back that doesn't mean she is cured. I would ask your human Dr to provide a diagnosis. Not all skin conditions human develop can be blamed on animals. I hope this helps and I wish you and Curly the best!
