I am very sorry that Tagra is having this issue while she is in season. Most likely she has been trying to clean her discharge herself and has introduced inflammation through the tissue trauma of her licking. This could also create an infection. Signs she has an Infection and needs to see the veterinarian for medication: Foul odor Creamy coloured discharge Red and inflamed vulva Pain- refuses to sit down or seems uncomfortable Disinterest in good Frequent urination Increased water intake You can try placing a cone on her so she cannot continue to lick the area, and a warm water bath including her rear end would be helpful. If you suspect an infection or she does don’t improve I would advise taking her to vet in the next 24 hours. She is at risk of developing a uterine infection, or pyometra because she is intact. Please post any further questions you may have about Tagra. We at Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach are here to support you both.
