My dog has Parvo. Why is she still vomiting and pooping blood after vet?

My dog is positive in Parvo. I already took her to the vet but despite having her IV fluids and some few shots, she still keeps on vomitting ang pooping blood. Is this normal? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 3 days old | 13 lbs

That is not normal, but sometimes parvovirus infection can be particularly persistent, so the signs may take a while before resolving. If despite treatment the signs persist more than 36-48hours another check up at your local veterinarian is needed. Hospitalisation in these cases is often very important as intensive treatment may be needed.
