Biotin is a water soluble B vitamin, so anything that the body does not need should be passed in the urine. We see some diarrhea with very high levels of Vitamin C which can cause blood in the stools if it continues, but Vitamin B should not cause any problems with the GI tract. So, I would recommend consulting with your veterinarian about Merrill's blood stools to see if you can figure out what is causing them and how to treat them. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bloody stools can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Kutty evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
