My cat has a crushed skull. What are the chances of survival?

How likely is it that he will survive a crushed skull? Tv fell off the wall and onto his head there was blood coming from his eyes nose and ears vet said I should put him to sleep because he’s in exrushiating pain and she knows he won’t survive surgery I left him at the vet and said I’ll make my decision tomorrow i can’t stop crying I don’t want to put him to sleep he’s the most loving cat ever have u ever had a cat that survived a crushed skull?

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! O am very sorry this is happening! I think it depends if your cats skull was crushed or he just has head trauma. Animals can survive concussions and head trauma. The neurologic system can heal but it can be very very slow to do so. It depends on whether you have the emotional and financial means to give your cat time. I have seen animals that have been hit by a car have blood from their nose and ears. If your cat is unconscious, starts to have seizures or suffers cardiac arrest I would consider human euthanasia. I would need more details on what surgery your Vet is thinking of doing. I wish you the very best and I am very sorry you are going through this!
