Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 1 year and 7 months old | 23 lbs

I think my dog has a fever and cough, her paws and belly are mildly hot. She has manges all over her body. We take her to a friend who gave her an anti mange shot. But the next day it becomes worsen, she started to chill and her breathing pattern becomes rapid.Unfortunately I have no means to take her to the vet. Is there any possible home remedies for her? Im so close to tears while watching her.

I am sorry to hear that Potchie is not feeling well. It sounds like there may be more than just mange causing these symptoms. Unfortunately, she likely needs antibiotic therapy and veterinary care and without it, she may continue to suffer and worsen. For the mange, I would recommend using a product that contains SELAMECTIN such as Revolution or something comparable in your area that you can get from your local pet store. In addition to the mange medication, I would also recommend using a shampoo such as Douxo PS Chlorhexidine combination shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved as well as Malacetic Conditioning spray and apply twice daily until resolved. I hope this helps and that Potchie gets better soon! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
