Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 3 lbs
Yr. and half ago we were given an abused Yorkie male, 3 lbs. He bonded with me and our other Yorkie instantly. Took awhile for my husband. When someone comes over, leaves or just gets up from sitting, he is uncontrollable with his barking and tries to bite our guests. I have had him to obedience classes (3), tried all of the things, i.e. squirt gun, electronic sounds, cans, time out in the cage, air in a can, etc. It'sgetting worse instead of better. He is sweet, loving, & playful. HELP

I am so sorry to hear about Ivanhoe! This type of behavior is often due to anxiety. I would strongly recommend talking to your vet about anti-anxiety/ behavior modification medication which can make a huge difference! Training is often completely ineffective if the fear/anxiety threshold is not lowered. Once medication is instituted, training is often MUCH more effective. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you all!
