My salamander has skin infection. Can Stress Coat Plus help, or what else?

I have a salamanader that has a fungal or bacterial infection on it's skin(one of your experts told me).It is covered in brown and black dots. I was wondering if i could use stress coat plus in a bath for my salamander to treat it. if not could you tell me another solution. Thanks.

StressCoat + is an excellent water conditioner and promotes a healthy slime coat, but it will likely not treat either a bacterial or fungal infection effectively. Maracyn or Furan 2 are excellent antibiotics. Methylene blue at half the dose used for fish can be used as a soak to treat fungal infection. Do not use either in the main tank to preserve beneficial bacterial populations in the substrate and filter.
