Iron can be toxic to dogs, but it generally needs to be a large amount. For a 40 pound dog, as little as 300 mg of iron can be toxic, but it becomes more toxic when amount go over 1,000 mg. If there is any possibility that Ella ate more than 1 tablet or if she develops any vomiting or diarrhea, I would recommend contacting ASPCA Poison Control (https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control) or your veterinarian right away.
