My young Shih Tzu licks grass & has slimy poop. Should I worry?

Why does my shih Tzu dog always lick grass.? I also noticed something long and slimy in his poop should I be worried he’s only a year in a half

That could be completely normal as could be due to a mild gastrointestinal chronic inflammation. It is difficult usually to determine it specifically, unless other signs (usually chronic vomiting or diarrhoea) are present. If not I would suggest just to monitor him at this stage.
