Yes, it is possible that an older dog can have Demodectic mange. While it typically occurs in younger dogs, adult dogs with defective immune systems can get it. They can also get it as adults from immune suppression due to illness or certain medications. I would take Frankie into the vet tomorrow. The vet can diagnose if he does have Demodectic mange or not, and can treat him appropriately. Good luck, I hope this helps!
