Cat poops white rice like worms. Went to vet and they did fecal exam and it was negative. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It sounds like tapeworm segments. It isn’t uncommon to have tapeworm and have a negative stool sample. The sample would need to have the segments in the stool and crushed. I’d call your Vet and describe the tapeworm. I usually prescribe medications even if the fecal test was negative. Be sure Andrew is in flea prevention. Fleas are the most common cause for tapeworm. I hope this helps and I wish Andrew the best!
